Guide for Spring Integration with Grails released
Spring Integration 1.0 was released last week, and now a Spring Source employee, Russ Miles, has published the start of a guide in his blog on how to use it with the Grails framework. Grails is a Rails inspired framework for the Groovy language. The guide starts by creating a simple Grails application, then loading the Spring Integration libraries into it.
The guide then shows how to connect the Grails front end with a service at the end of a messaging pipeline. This covers the basics of message passing to a service that is running within the same process. Future instalments promise to cover how to pass messages to remote processes using JMS adapters. This promises to be a useful introduction to the messaging and scheduling capabilities encapsulated in Spring Integration.
