Yet another false alarm for "Moorhuhn Winter Edition"

"Moorhuhn Winter Edition" has triggered some malware monitors to generate a false alarm that it contains dangerous code. This is the latest in a string of unfounded reports about malware; recently Avast flagged TrueCrypt as an offender. This time, the game "Moorhuhn Winter Edition", is the victim. It contains a Web downloader, which downloads the actual installer. F-Secure mistakenly believes that this Installer is "Suspicious:W32/Malware!Gemini", while other protection programs categorise it as a "potentially unwanted program".

However, tests conducted by AV-test have found that the program is clean and does not contain any indications of adware or spyware. The Web downloader contains a valid digital signature from Macrovision, a fact that these monitors apparently ignore.
