Snow for your Linux desktop
With the UK being brought to a halt by snow, Linux users may wish to bring snow to their desktop. The xsnow utility will give you falling snow on your desktop; Ubuntu users can install it with sudo apt-get install xsnow. The program can then be run as xsnow, giving drifting snow which accumulates on top of your windows. The only problem is that its Christmas theme can feel somewhat inappropriate a month after Christmas. Run the program with xsnow -nosanta -notrees -norudolf to get a more appropriate snow fall for this February's snow event.
