MeeGo now also for tablets
The MeeGo developers are working towards a tablet version of their Linux distribution for mobile and consumer devices. In addition to a first release based on the current development version 1.2 of MeeGo, there is also a preview of MeeGo Tablet SDK 1.2 available for download.
The Tablet User Experience is based on the MeeGo 1.2 core software platform and includes a web browser which has been optimised for touch operation. The developer preview of 1.2 MeeGo Tablet user experience currently supports only a single hardware device: the ExoPC Slate, a Windows 7 tablet from the Canadian manufacturer ExoPC, a Pinetrail-M platform built around an Intel Atom processor N450.
