Latest stable version of Scala arrives
The developers of Scala have announced the release of version 2.9.2 of the multi-paradigm programming language. Scala is based on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and the latest update is a maintenance release that brings some improvements and fixes several bugs including an "out of memory" error when running under the JDK on Windows 7. A number of problems in Scaladoc were also fixed.
More information about this latest stable release, including a complete list of changes, can be found in the release announcement. Scala 2.9.2 is available for download from the project's web site. Scala is released under a three clause BSD licence.
