Google updates Android tools

Google have updated the Android SDK, used for developing applications for Android based smart phones. The Android SDK Release 2 fixes a number of bugs, most important of which is a future proofing security fix to ensure that the Java Reflection APIs cannot be used to access private or protected fields and methods in code. The SDK now also ships with a Windows USB driver for the T-Mobile G1, which simplifies application development and debugging. Developers using the MapView classes to integrate Google Maps with their application will now find the requirement to have a Maps API key is now being enforced.

The release notes detail the other changes made in the new release, including a note resolving a curious issue; "We regret to inform developers that SDK 1.0_r2 does not support MFM, RLL, or Winchester hard disk drives."
