EnterpriseDB: Postgres Plus Advanced Server 9.0
Nine months after the publication of PostgreSQL 9, EnterpriseDB has released the final version of its Postgres Plus Advanced Server 9.0. Licensed commercially for 32- and 64-bit Linux, Windows and HP-UX, PostgreSQL now has a number of "enterprise class" features.
EnterpriseDB says, for example, that a parallel data loader now offers up to 800% faster loading of data. Compatibility with Oracle has also been improved and includes support for Oracle Pro*C applications. Data from Microsoft's SQL Server can now be replicated on the Postgres Plus Advanced Server. Finally, a number of high-availability functions, such as integrated replication and hot standby support from the Postgres community, have been integrated. A 60-day evaluation copy of Postgres Plus Advanced Server is available and pricing starts at $3,995.
