Compiz 0.8.0 released
A few weeks after the re-organisation of the leadership team, Compiz has issued a bug fix release of the compositing window manager. Compiz 0.8.0 is the first step towards a new stable release, which should appear sometime in the late summer. The release includes a large number of minor bug fixes, particularly in the resize handling and stacking code. Support for the latest Gnome 2.24, KDE 4.2 and new plug-ins has also been added.
The next steps in the roadmap are to merge in Compiz++ and release Compiz 0.9.0, followed by 0.9.2, which will be a bug fix release.
